Gianna is a filmmaker and media artist from Zürich and Berlin, living in North Rhine Westphalia, Cologne.

Her latest short film, ‘Two Giants That Exist Here - A German Fairytale’ was awarded with the Prix Alice Guy at FID Marseille, the New Signs Award at Lago Film Fest and the Premio Jurado Joven at FILMadrid. Her work has also been part of the Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin,  the First Steps Masterclass and the Residency of the Locarno Film Festival.

She is currently studying at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM), where she received a DAAD Prize in 2024. In addition, she is a graduate of the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB).
