Gianna is a filmmaker and media artist from Zürich and Berlin, living in North Rhine-Westphalia, Cologne. Her work explores unconventional narratives and experimental aesthetics, often challenging traditional storytelling.

Her latest short film, 'Two Giants That Exist Here - A German Fairytale,' was awarded the Prix Alice Guy at FID Marseille, the New Signs Award at Lago Film Fest, and the Premio Jurado Joven at FILMadrid. Her work has also been showcased at Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin, the First Steps Masterclass, and the Residency of the Locarno Film Festival.

She graduated from the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB) before continuing her studies at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM), where she was awarded with a DAAD Prize in 2024.

She is also part of the Emerging Artists Program by AG Kurzfilm and German Films and a Cast&Cut scholarship holder.
